Sudbury Nonprofits Get Together

Representatives from more than 20 nonprofit organizations and community groups in Sudbury got together on April 4 for coffee and conversation at the Sudbury Foundation.

The group has been meeting at the Grange Hall twice a year since 2013 to network, share their good work, and consider how to strengthen their activities through collaboration. Sudbury nonprofits and community groups provide a wide variety of programs and services, many of them at no charge, that benefit residents and others of all ages. Activities range from arts and cultural events to human service supports to environmental and historic preservation.

The focus of this meeting was on volunteerism in anticipation of National Volunteer Week, April 15 through April 2. Most meeting participants rely heavily on local volunteers to support and run their programs.

Sudbury groups who wish to participate in future get-togethers should email their contact information to contact@sudburyfoundation.org.
