Stewart Appointed New Trustee

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Tracy L. Stewart to its board of trustees. Ms. Stewart is a long-time Sudbury resident with extensive volunteer and community service credentials and a variety of personal and professional attributes that will enhance the work of the Foundation.

Board Chair Jill Stansky welcomed Ms. Stewart to the board, noting that the Foundation’s nominating committee recommended her from among an exceptionally strong group of candidates. “The board greatly values the range of perspective and experience that Tracy will bring to our organization. We are delighted to have her working with us to preserve and strengthen the Foundation and its grantmaking programs."

Ms. Stewart is a graduate of the Ohio State University with a B.A. degree in Political Science. She earned an M.B.A. in marketing from Case Western Reserve University and a graduate certificate in Executive Coaching from William James College (formerlyMassachusetts School of Professional Psychology).

Since 2008, Ms. Stewart has run an executive coaching and management consulting sole proprietorship, where she provides assessment, feedback, coaching, and support designed to fine-tune the leadership skills of managers at all levels.

Prior to starting her consulting business, Ms. Stewart served as a legislative aide, a strategic planning analyst, and a manager of marketing and special projects.

An active community member, Ms. Stewart served on the board of HOPEsudbury from 2006-2016 and the Sudbury Education Resource Fund from 2000 to 2006. She was elected co-president of both organizations and was involved in publicity and grantmaking activities. From 2003 to 2015, Ms. Stewart served on the board of COMPASS for Kids, a nonprofit that provided supports to homeless parents.  She also shared her expertise as an Executive Service Corps volunteer, providing pro bono consulting services on board development and strategic planning to nonprofit agencies in greater Boston.

Ms. Stewart replaces long-time Trustee Susan Iuliano, who resigned after more than 13 years of service to the Foundation, seven as chair of the board. “We knew finding a replacement for Susan would be a challenge,” said Marilyn Martino, executive director. “In Tracy, we’ve found an individual who, like Susan, is bright and thoughtful with a strong sense of community and philanthropic values.”
