Create Your Essential Strategic Plan

All nonprofits need a strategic plan, a roadmap that guides the agency's direction for three to five years. But for many - particularly small or start-up agencies -- the process can be cumbersome, time-consuming and exhausting for both board and staff. It can also be expensive. So agencies put it off.

Not a good thing...

We wanted to call your attention to a unique strategic planning option being piloted in MetroWest this Fall as a cost-effective and time-sensitive strategic planning alternative.

Called the Essential Strategic Plan, this group workshop process will enable up to 20 nonprofits to create customized draft strategic plans in 2 days, over 8 weeks with webinars in between.

Working with Consultant Jay W. Vogt of Peoplesworth, a "team" from each nonprofit (comprised of up to eight board members, staff and volunteers) will produce a plan at a fraction of the time and cost they would typically invest in strategic planning.

Peoplesworth is offering this pilot program in partnership with the MetroWest Nonprofit Network at a special low cost for Metrowest agencies: $995.

Day 1:

Wednesday, October 3

Noon to 8 pm

******

Day 2:

Thursday, November 1

Noon to 8 pm

Three one-hour webinars will also be featured, before, in-between and after the full day sessions.

Location:  Riverview, Hudson Portuguese Club

(13 Port Street, Hudson, MA)

Participation requires a serious commitment on the part of each agency to attend the sessions and engage thoughtfully in the process.

At the end of eight weeks, each nonprofit will have a concise, complete, customized, draft Essential Strategic Plan that distills the essence of the typical 30-page strategic plan into a one-page, double-sided document.

Everyone in the organization can easily read and review it, making the organization's guiding ideas, success metrics and key initiatives transparent, accessible, and effective. Registration is open now.

More information and a registration form can be found here and here.
