Sudbury Foundation Makes Over $459,000 in Grants, Including Three Emergency Grants

The Sudbury Foundation recently awarded $459,254 in grants to 11 organizations, including three emergency grants.

“In addition to awarding grants through our Sudbury Program and Farm & Local Food Initiative, the Foundation has also made three emergency grants. We awarded two grants to assist our farm partners affected by the devastating floods in July and one grant to support MetroWest organizations assisting with the current migrant crisis. The Foundation prides itself on being able to respond quickly to the needs of our community,” said Sudbury Foundation Executive Director Sonia Shah.

• Gardening the Community: $50,000 over two years
• Mill City Grows: $100,000 over three years
• New Entry Sustainable Farming Project: $100,000 over three years
• The Carrot Project: $100,000 over three years

Emergency Grants

• Gardening the Community: $10,000
• Massachusetts Farm Resiliency Fund: $10,000

Community Grants

• Fresh Start Furniture Bank: $5,000
• MetroWest Emergency Relief Fund: $25,000
