2019 Atkinson Scholars Named

May 6, 2019

Congratulations to the 15 outstanding high school seniors who were recently awarded Atkinson Scholarships.

The 2019 recipients include:
Sofia Block, Modesty Butler, Calvin Carmichael, Teddy Chunias, Sophie Clark, James Ensley, Nicole Keller, David Ma, Jada McCray, Suley Oller-Guerrero, Emma Rits, Christelle Saint-Louis, Camille Slattery, Janaii Valentine, and Mackenzie Weng.

Fourteen of the recipients will graduate from Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School in June and Ms.Clark will graduate from Nashoba Regional High School.

The Atkinson Scholarship Program was established in 1996 to recognize local students with financial need, academic promise and the capacity to make a meaningful contribution to society.

In acknowledging the students at a breakfast reception last week, Sudbury Foundation Trustees Jill Stansky, Susan Iuliano, Stephen Richmond, Dian Quinn, and staff member Tricia Brunner noted their many contributions, both in and out of school, including a host of community service and leadership activities and a general concern for the world beyond themselves.

Atkinson Scholarship recipients receive $5,000 in scholarship assistance and an opportunity to reapply for support each year of their undergraduate academic career.
